How come everyone at my school thinks i am retarded because i prefer these type of music instead of hip hop ?
I really want to know why people think that i am mentally stupid and retarded when it comes to music. I’m an Vietnamese – American boy and I’m 17 years old and i have a preference for music differently from everybody. I don’t like listening to hip hop and rap music today because it is dirty and all it talks about is dirty stuffs, for example Eminem, I don’t like his music and the way of dissing woman and people. My parents taught me to give respect to woman not diss them like he does. So, when my friends checked out my personal official you tube profile they saw that i favorite a couple of music videos and they think it’s retarded. I favorited alvin and the chipmunks witch doctor and a few other traditional music videos that is in my country’s traditional language. The guys at my school and especially in my grade made fun of me calling me the sissy guy who likes girly music because i don’t like dirty music. Those guys also spread rumors that caused all the girls at my school except a few girls ditch me, the girls that didn’t ditch me where a few attractive looking blonde girls. How come they are calling me names and calling me retarded because i like these music videos instead of their dirty rap and hip hop music videos ??? They also called me gay when I’m really not I’m straight. How come they are calling me these names ?? Can anyone please help me out ??? Bro, kids suck. When I was in school, all my friends were total Metal heads. I like alot of Heavy music, but I am more a melody guy. So I like Dream Theater and Nightwish. But when I was in High School I was (and still am) a very big fan of Howard Jones, Mr. Mister and The Outfield. These are bands from the 80’s. THey were considered "Pop Crap" But it is what I like.

Let those douche bags think what they want. I am not a fan of most Hip Hop myself. I am not from the street, I didn’t grow up in Compton or East LA. I have never wanted to beat my ho, nor run around and telling everyone I meet how much money I have. Its an acquired taste. And I never acquired it. All you need to do is stay true to yourself. Because one day, when you pull up to the gas station where those dillweeds work at, they will be all over your Bentley gassing it up. Listenine to Alvin isn’t so bad then, huh? STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF. F**K EVERYONE ELSE.

"Girls’ Bathroom"

Friday afternoon, Elisha stood in the bathroom mirror fixing her hair. She put a dab of lipgloss on her lips and swiped thick mascara over her eyelashes. Next to her, Megan was texting Oliver Kessler on her blackberry.
"So me and Oliver are going to the movies tonight and I was wondering if you and Mark would like to come?" she said. "Like a double date?"
"Sorry," Elisha apologized, "but we’re going to the game tonight."
Megan’s hazel eyes dimmed in disappointment. "Oh."
Elisha’s heart cracked at Megan’s hurt face. "Maybe some other time. I just love football games that’s all."

That didn’t come out right either. Megan didn’t say a word and continued on texting. Elisha felt bad. She hated letting her friends down, but sometimes she needed to do things she wanted to do.
Just then, Reese, Shelbi, and Andrea Mendez practically bombarded their way into the bathroom.
"Whoo," Shelbi breathed, flipping a dark-curl from her face, "gym class was sickening."
"You can say that again," Andrea, a short, olive-skinned girl said. Her hair was brown with blond highlights and it was pulled back intro a ponytail. "I don’t know what mouseman was thinking when he made us do those lifts.

Elisha chuckled. Andrea and Shelbi were the comic relief. No matter what, she always managed to make situations funny.
Elisha walked over to give Andrea a hug. "Who’s your date to homecoming?"
"Arnie Humphrey." answered Andrea, combing her hair in the mirror. "May not be the best choice, but it’ll do."

"And I’m taking my lovely Brandon." Shelbi crooned, looking over Megan’s shoulders who was still texting.
None of them responded to Shelbi. They all knew Pam Wheaten gave Brandon head at Stephanie Dice’s party last Saturday, but they didn’t want to say anything. Pam and Shelbi were best friends since they were two.
"What?" Shelbi asked, wondering why everyone was so quiet.
"Nothing," Reese said tonelessly, exchanging a look with Elisha.

Elisha sighed. There was too much drama. It was only the third full week at school and there was so much problems for her to deal with. It was all too much to handle.
"I’m glad I got John as a date." Reese said, checking out her raised buttocks in the mirror. "Now I don’t have to go dateless."
"Good on you, ReeRee." Andrea said. "God, does my boobs hurt."
She rubbed her left boob as the girls had to unfortunately watch.
"Oh, God, Andi!" exclaimed Elisha. "TMI?"
"Sorry," said Andrea, "but I’m like that Amanda Seyfried in Mean Girls. I’m a psychic when it comes to my boobs. The only difference is I predict my period instead of the weather."
Reese turned her head in disgust. Sometimes Andrea went a little too far.

Savannah Ripley walked timidly into the bathroom and stood in front of the full length mirror. She played with her hair for a little while before walking over to the sinks.
"Hey, Savannah," Elisha smiled. "Do you have a date to homecoming?"
"No," she said bitterly.
"Why don’t you ask Carter?" Reese asked stupidly. "I bet he’ll say yes."
"Dumbass." Elisha muttered under her breath.
Had she forgotten that he was going with Jamie?
"He’s going out with that Jamie girl." Savannah sighed.
"Oh, yeah," Reese said, coming back down to Earth. She could be spacey sometimes "She’s so nice. My best friend."
"Well, she did send me a friend request for some reason." Savannah said, putting on mascara.
"I accepted."

"Good." Elisha said. "Cause she’s such a sweet person. She’s not a bitch at all."
Savannah’s sad face transformed into a heartbreaking smile. "I know."
Savannah looked around and saw that almost every girl in the room was looking at her with commendable smiles. She was glad she was fitting in with the popular girls.
"I’ll see you later," she said, exiting the bathroom.
"Bye," Andrea waved. "Such a nice girl."
"And she’s really pretty," Megan said, with a wolfish grin. "And sweet. A terrific combination."
Uh, oh. Elisha thought. Megan’s the wolf and Savannah’s the lamb.

"Be nice." Andrea said.
"I like her." Megan said. "I just need to make sure if she’s right for my baby Carter."
Elisha shook her head. Megan meant well, but she always went overboard when it came to her male friends.
"She sent us a friend request," Shelbi said, "but we denied it."
"Why would you do that?" asked Reese.
"We’ll add her. Eventually. It’s just fun messing with fresh meat."
"Yeah, consider this a bizarre initiation." Megan said. "Like pledging for a sorority. Only we’re freshmen in high school."
"Good luck with that." said Elisha. "I’m going to meet up with Mark. Catch you all later."
As fun and cool as Megan and Shelbi where, they did come up with bizarre things when it came to people. The last time a girl liked Carter, Megan made her cry.

I am soooo stressed!!!?
Basically I’m at home with my mum also looking after a five month old baby.
My mum does foot the majority of the bills, (as she did before I came back obviously) well i am on maternity leave so I dont get paid a alot of money, but I give her roughly a third of my pay, plus buy my own food and everything the baby needs food nappies, washin powder etc I obviously buy myself too. And as I am at home all day I try to maintain the house, In the morning I always wash the dishes that everyone has left out, I wash everyones clothes and try to cook as much as I can for everyone after work.
So basically I feel like i’m being taken the piss out of. Nothing is ever good enough. If I do 3 wash loads a day, I should have done 4. etc My mum had a go at me the other day because I left HER coat downstairs. Apparantly it had been down stairs for two days and showed what a lazy selfish ***** I am, because I didn’t think to take her coat upstairs, but yet if I leave things lying around she threatens to throw it away if i haven’t moved it in.. the .. next .. five .. seconds.. Grrr
So basically my baby has three bottles of baby formula a day, along with his little meals, breakfast lunch and dinner as \\\\\I started weaning him.
If he has a 4th bottle he tends to only have a little bit, and then he will sleep in.
So last night she said to me, oh this baby’s tired,have you given him his last bottle yet, and I said no, he doesn’t have a last bottle he had it with his food. She started going hw can you only give him 3 bottles a day he needs more, so basically went to make him a bottle.
Me and the baby usually wake up at about 9, which might seem a bit late to some, but hey, tahts what we do. So this morning its 11 o’clock and she comes into the room shouting, Its 11 oclock has the baby had breakfast yet, (I must have turned off my alarm) and I said no.
Then she said oh my god, that poor baby he’s been in the same nappy all night (yes true, but isn’t that what happens with babys) and he hasn’t had any food for 11 hours(because he had slept longer because SHE decided to give him an extra bottle.) You are a disgrace. You’re going to be nominated for mother of the year (obviously said sarcestically). O i SAID IT’S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, iF I’M SUCH A BAD MOTHER CALL SOCIAL SERVICES THEN. She was on her way out before this anyway, so she has stormed out saying I am ‘going to get it’ when she gets back. I think i need to get myslef down the council first thing monday morning. I always said that I didn’t want to be one of those mothers in a council house, but I don’t think I can last here much longer. Surely her screming at me every day is more detrimental to the baby than us oversleepingfor a few hours. I would say this to her, but to be honest I’m reluctant to tell her I seriously think she is suffering from clinical depress. I’m not looking forward to her coming home. I suppose the moral of the story is don’t have kids until you can afford somewhere to live!!
But I need to get out I think, for my sanity. I think If i’m unhappy the baby will be too. Advice please!!!! Thanks
