what sax brand would you recommend ?
I am looking to buy a tenor sax. what brand would you recommend for a student going on to their 4th year of playing ?
selmer or yamaha ?
Selmer or Yamaha are both great brands! If you can find a used vintage Super Action 80 Series or a Mark VI (both Selmer) for cheap, they are usually GREAT horns. Yamaha has some fantastic models too, but I think their newer horns are better- they worked out all the kinks, so to speak.
Also, check out Yanagisawa- they’re an off-chute of Yamaha, and they make some terrific sounding horns too!
Another company to check out is Cannonball… they are a fairly new company based out of Utah, but the quality of materials and craftmanship are superb, and they are priced at about half of what Selmer or Yamaha sells their horns for. I have a friend that’s a GREAT sax player, and I have never heard anything sexier than his Cannonball tenor.

Yamaha, no doubt about it, it is the best. If you had only been playing for a little while, you could get away with Jupiter, a slightly cheaper alternative, but not as good quality. But seeing as you have been playing for 4 years, you definatley need a good quality one…Yamaha all the way!

It is sad that the man is not dead, true. He hides in one of thousands of caves in the mountains of Afghanistan or Pakistan. The only way to kill the man is up close and personal or level the mountain range, literally. You can’t kill what you can’t find.
As for one of the responders, flags of our fathers. Bin Laden is a liberal hero to his followers. It’s only his victims that call him a terrorist. I am fairly certain that some of the Afghans and Pakistanis feel the same way about the U.S. military dropping bombs on their homes. War is a bitch.

But to get there they would first have to go Casablanca and once they get there, they have to obtain exit visas which are not very easy to come by. Now the hottest spot in all of Casablanca is Rick’s Cafe which is operated by Rick Blaine, an American expatriate, who for some reason can’t return there, and he is also extremely cynical. Now it seems that two German couriers were killed and the documents they were carrying were taken. Now one of Rick’s regulars, Ugarte entrusts to him some letters of transit, which he intends to sell but before he does he is arrested for killing the couriers. Captain Renault, the Chief of Police, who is neutral in his political views, informs Rick that Victor Laszlo, the European Resistance leader, is in Casablanca and will do anything to get an exit visa but Renault has been “told” by Major Strasser of the SS, to keep Laszlo in Casablanca. Laszlo goes to Rick’s to meet Ugarte, because he was the one Ugarte was going to sell the letters to. But since Ugarte was arrested he has to find another way. Accompanying him is Ilsa Lund, who knew Rick when he was in Paris, and when they meet some of Rick’s old wounds reopen. It is obvious that Rick’s stone heart was because of her leaving him. And when they learn that Rick has the letters, he refuses to give them to him, because “he doesn’t stick his neck out for anyone”. |

Does this sound shady or am I being insecure?
I have been seeing a guy for 7 months. When we met, he said he had last dated three months before when his GF of 3 years broke up with him. He still had keys to her apartment and walks "their" dog almost daily. At first I thought it was too soon to be dating again but he insisted it wasn’t.
Then within 3 months he says that we have to go to the STD clinic because his ex has a rash that she thinks is herpes. He tells me it’s nothing to worry about. But then it comes out that he was sleeping with her while we were first dating. He said she broke it off when she found evidence in his phone that he was seeing me. It only happened a couple times but I felt ill because I asked him repeatedly if he was having sex with anyone else and he said no.
Next we planned to travel to Italy (where he’s from) during the summer, then he mentions that she (the ex) is coming there with a friend the week after I would return back home. Finally he got all dodgy about me going at all due to some need to spend time with his family but yet she can come because she’s bringing a friend and staying in a hotel. I ended up not going. She was there for a week.
Some months have passed and he told me last month that his ex asked him to get back with her but that he turned her down. I was starting to feel like things might be getting serious and I was feeling more secure. Today I get home and get an email from him about his ex buying a cheap ticket to the Bahamas for him to come with her so they can visit old friends but it’s just friends. They won’t be staying in the same room but he admitted that she’s paying for the whole trip and she doesn’t know he’s seeing me. He wrote that he hoped I wouldn’t mind since it’s just a free trip to see old friends. He said he would tell her about me once he got there. I said I couldn’t see him anymore. He wrote back "That’s stupid!" then writes again that he’s sorry he hurt my feelings and we should talk about it in person.
I’ve sensed since day one that he and the ex aren’t over each other. I think it’s tacky and shady to take a free trip with someone who you claim is your "good friend" yet you don’t mention you’ve been seeing someone else for months. Am I being insecure or is this guy really shady?

I havent seen it, but based on what I know of movie ratings it’s probablly because it:
-Uses the F word more than twice
-Has nudity
-Gore
-Drug use

If your a mature 15 year old, you will be fine. It’s a very deep and disturbing film, but nothing profane or sexual, just very deep.

Is it just me or are movies getting gayer literally?
I saw hangover when it came out and they showed a guys penis what heck is that I paid to watch a movie not some guys penis I almost felt like asking for a refund lol, then I saw step brothers and one of the dudes dragged his balls on the drums, that should not be rated R if you ask me and why don’t they say so in the rating it just ses nudity but not complete nudity or if its a guy or girl. Does anyone know if the movie eurotrip is the same. I have boycotted movies lol no seriously movies are why to expensive and then having to see some guys privates thats a slap in the face for me.

I don’t think it’s gay because I’m a girl but it’s not a big deal really.
You don’t hear me complaining about naked good looking girls in movies, it is what it is. Opposite gender likes to see different things.
I’m glad you don’t like to look at other men’s packages, because then I would be worried.
But movies are too expensive lately, just watch them online after they’re out of theaters for a while. Or rent DVD.

So it’s okay for countless movies to expose women’s breasts but not okay when the movie industry finally deems it okay to show a penis? Who cares? And yep, there’s a lot of penis in Eurotrip. Oh, and you better stay away from Forgetting Sarah Marshall too! GASP!
If you’re that hung up about it, you’re either actually gay and don’t know how to deal with the truth, or you should just not go to the movies until you get a complete scene play-by-play beforehand JUST IN CASE there’s a penis in it. *Dun dun duuuuuun*

Well, I don’t know why a movie showing a penis would be considered "gay". Are movies showing breasts considered Lesbian movies, too?
I have no problem seeing another guy’s penis in a movie, doesn’t mean I want to have sex with it. Basically, I do object to any nudity or sex scenes that don’t have anything to do with the plot.
If I want to see a sex scene, then I’ll watch a porno.
